Hi, everyone. I have an aunt who was part of this scam for 47 years! I have created a form to track who has been affected by this scam. Please fill out the form and pass the link around. If I can get enough people to fill out the form, maybe there is something we can do about this. Phil

I was just given POA for a family friend and in doing so I came across a billing from QLT for the leasing of two phones.
The contract was started in 1984 and he has since paid over $3,000.00 for the rental of two phones. They were never replaced. Upon discovering this I called to cancel service and their requirement was for me to give numbers of the phones and to send them back. I explained that he had spent over $3,000 over the 30 years and that I would not return the phones. Is there any help still available???? My friend is 87 years old and would still be paying if he hadn't become ill and need my help with his finances.

Thanks, Lee. I have tried to find out something concerning the claims process for the class action suit, but so far have had no luck in tracking down anything. I did read about a reporter who contacted Lucent Technologies, which was a defendant in the suit, and was able to get a settlement of $150 for his mother. Possibly, contacting the legal department at Lucent would be a starting place, although I haven't tried that yet. I'll see what I can find out, and post an update. Thanks again for your interest.

Kathleen,

Can QLT customers still make claims on the class action suit or is it too late?

Thanks for this article you posted.
